What is the Mallorca Classic Rally?
The Mallorca Classic Rally is one of Europe’s most prestigious competitions in the world of classic cars. It is an annual event where drivers from different parts of the world battle it out on challenging closed road sections through some of the island’s most breathtaking scenery. Where and when does it take place?
The XXI edition of the Rally Clásico de Mallorca will take place from the 6th to the 8th of March 2025. The event has its main venue in Puerto Portals, one of the most exclusive marinas on the island, where you can admire the participating vehicles and enjoy the atmosphere of the rally.
How to participate?
To take part in the Mallorca Classic Rally, interested parties must register before 23 February 2025 via the event’s official website. The rally is open to classic cars divided into two categories:
- Speed: For cars manufactured up to 1998, divided into subcategories:
- Pre 81: Vehicles manufactured before 1981.
- Pre 90: Vehicles manufactured between 1981 and 1990.
- Pre 98: Cars manufactured between 1991 and 1998.
- Regularity: For cars manufactured up to 1992, with different modes of medium-high and medium-low.
Due to the high demand and the limited number of places, interested teams are advised to register as soon as possible via the official rally website. All necessary information, including regulations and entry forms, is available on the website.
Iconic route and sections
The classic rally of Mallorca consists of 14 stages totalling more than 500 kilometres, of which 170 km are on closed roads. Some of the most anticipated stages include:
- Sa Calobra: A technical challenge with hairpin bends and spectacular views.
- Serra de Tramuntana: A UNESCO World Heritage Site, with panoramic routes of great difficulty.
- Coll de Sóller: A stretch with hairpin bends and a challenging incline for riders.
- Puig Major: The highest point of the island with one of the most impressive views of the rally.
- Cap de Formentor: A route with unforgettable landscapes and a winding road that tests the riders’ skills.
