Mallorca, a new stop on the UTMB World Series 2024<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The UTMB World Series’<\/strong> calendar has a new date: from the<\/strong> 1st to the 3rd of November 2024<\/strong>\u00a0the island of Mallorca will host the first edition of Mallorca by UTMB<\/a>. This event will consist in four distances<\/strong>: 100M, 100K, 50K and 20K crossing the Serra de Tramuntana<\/strong>, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Mallorca by UTMB offers four races in Mallorca in a unique environment: vertiginous cliffs, holm oak and pine forests, and steep peaks<\/strong> from which the magnificence of the Mediterranean Sea can be admired. The island will be the perfect setting for this exciting competition, filled with natural treasures.<\/p>

In addition, Mallorca by UTMB will offer residents<\/strong> in the Balearic Islands the opportunity to obtain the Running Stones<\/strong> without having to make long journeys. In this way, the Finals of the UTMB World Series, the UTMB (100M)<\/strong>, the CCC (100K)<\/strong> and the OCC (50K)<\/strong> will be brought closer to the archipelago.The first three overall finishers in each distance, both male and female, will obtain direct access to Chamonix<\/strong> for the Mont Blanc race<\/strong>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The Ultra Trail du Mont-Blanc<\/strong>, or UTMB<\/strong>, is one of the most prestigious mountain races in the world. With a distance of 171 km<\/strong> and 10,000 metres<\/strong> of vertical gain, the race circumnavigates Mont-Blanc and crosses three countries<\/strong>: France<\/strong>, Switzerland<\/strong> and Italy<\/strong>. This world trail running event includes seven other races<\/strong> of different distances. All UTMB races are run in a single stage and must be completed in a limited amount of time<\/strong>.<\/p>

Running the Serra de Tramuntana – Race 100M<\/a> is a challenge reserved only for the bravest. This route of approximately 146 km<\/strong>, with a vertical gain of 6,000 metres<\/strong>, begins in the village of S\u00f3ller on Friday 1st November at 10 p.m.<\/strong> and goes across some of the most beautiful trails in the Serra de Tramuntana, including Lluc, Pollen\u00e7a, Valldemossa and Dei\u00e0, until it reaches the sea at Port de S\u00f3ller.<\/p>

The event takes place in a unique setting in Mallorca, the Serra de Tramuntana<\/strong>, a UNESCO World Heritage Site<\/strong>. This landscape combines incredible views of the skies, mountains, cliffs and sea<\/strong>, as well as the work of the locals who have shaped this territory with dry stone walls and centuries-old olive trees. Participants will also be surrounded by picturesque villages as they follow the route.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Starting from S\u00f3ller on Friday the 1st at 6:00 a.m. and heading into the Barranc de Biniaraix<\/strong>, this race unveils the breathtaking beauty of the Serra de Tramuntana<\/strong>.<\/p>

This event will take you to discover magical places<\/strong> such as Lluc<\/strong> sanctuary and its sacred sites. Crossing forests, mountains and trails, you will reach some of the most emblematic peaks of the Serra de Tramuntana<\/strong>, ending in the picturesque village of Pollen\u00e7a<\/strong>.<\/p>

This event will not leave anyone indifferent, rewarding its participants with 3 Running Stones<\/strong>. The first three leading participants<\/strong> in the general classification, as well as those classified according to the UTMB Score, will have direct access to the 100 km CCC modality<\/strong> in the finals of the UTMB Mont-Blanc, UTMBM’s little sister.<\/p>

As part of the Balearic Ultradistance Championship<\/strong>, the race will apply to the regulations of the Balearic Federation of Mountaineering and Climbing<\/strong> for federated runners.<\/p>
