Only 80 kilometers from Palma, getting there is as easy as taking the Ma-15 road towards Manacor and continuing to Art\u00e0: in just over an hour you will be walking through its cobbled streets and its imposing castle. If you prefer public transport, you can also get there comfortably by bus from the intermodal station in Palma. Climbing up to it is totally worth it. <\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You will pass through cobbled streets and a lot of old houses. When you are at the top, you can see the Mediterranean, the fields and even Menorca if the day is clear. Once inside the enclosure you will find walls, towers and a small chapel.  <\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>And if you can come in May, specifically the third weekend, you will coincide with the celebration of the Medieval Fair of Capdepera<\/strong>. It&#8217;s really amazing! Its streets are narrow and made of stone, and the facades of the buildings have that golden color so typical of the island. <\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>The nerve center of the historic center is the Pla\u00e7a de l\u2019Orient<\/strong>, a tree-lined square ideal for trying the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.idealpropertymallorca.com\/blog\/typical-food-mallorca\/\">typical food of Mallorca<\/a>. We recommend stopping by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cafelorient.es\/\">Caf\u00e9 El Oriente<\/a>, where you can have sandwiches, <em>pa amb olis<\/em>, tapas and all kinds of portions. <\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>And if your tour of the center coincides with a Wednesday morning, you&#8217;re in luck! You will come across the weekly market <\/strong>  where the locals buy fruit, vegetables, flowers and cheeses. It is the perfect place to try a little of everything and get some souvenirs, from artisan olive oil to a handmade piece of pottery. <\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Very close by you can&#8217;t miss another of the classics to see in Capdepera: the <strong>Church of San Bartomeu<\/strong>, from the 14th century. It is one of the best examples of traditional Balearic architecture. <\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And although Capdepera is small, it has a lot to discover. If you like the sea, <g id=\"gid_1\">you will be amazed by Cala Agulla: a wide beach with white sand and transparent waters surrounded by pine trees<\/g>. It is perfect for spending the day, lying in the sun or taking a good swim.  <\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And of course, you can&#8217;t miss <strong>Cala Mesquida<\/strong>. It is wild, open and with an impressive dune landscape. If you like surfing or want to enjoy a more natural beach, this is the best choice. And if you wait until sunset, you will see how the color of the water becomes more and more golden. The sunsets here are a delight.    <\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>But the jewel of the area is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.idealpropertymallorca.com\/blog\/cala-ratjada-3\/\">Cala Ratjada<\/a>, the port of the municipality. Here you will have the same natural environment, but with a lot of bars, restaurants with fresh fish and terraces to complete the plan <\/strong>.
